Vinayan’s Albhuthadweep is ready for release and it stars Pritviraj, Jagathy Sreekumar, Mallika Kapoor, Jagadhish, and Indrans along with a battalion of dwarfs. Director Vinayan feels that it is first of its kind in Indian cinema to have more than 300 dwarfs.

This film is loosely based on “Gullivers Travels” and three Navy officers Pritviraj, Jagathy and Jagadhish get marooned in an island after a helicopter crash. This island is inhabited by men who are just 3 feet tall and all the women are normal and extremely beautiful! Gajendran (Pacru), is the king of Vamanapuri.

SaysVinayan: “The only Hollywood film that had dwarfs was Willow but there were not more than 100 actors. It was a difficult task to get 300 people from all over India to act in Albhuthadweep. Jagathy Sreekumar plays a double role and the promos of the film have already created a lot of curiosity.

The music is by M.Jayachandran and the film is produced by Gulfline Productions. Dialogues are by Ashok and Shaji is the cameraman. The film was completed at sets in Malampuzha and Karnataka.
