The announcement of the project has already been made in a press release by Nu Image/Millenium Films that have acquired the film’s rights from Miramax/Dimension Films.

As we have already reported, the film will be shot in Bulgaria, the US and certain locations in India early next year.

Reports quote Stallone as saying that ‘Rambo IV’ (also titled ‘Holy Wars’) will be based on a hostage situation involving his 10-year-old daughter in the film.

But an early online draft of ‘Holy Wars’ states that the movie will have John Rambo (Stallone) as a committed family man working at the UN headquarters in New York. Things take a turn for the worse after a few Islamic terrorists siege the UNHQ. And among the terrorists is Rambo’s adopted Afghani stepson.

The draft alludes to Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan as an actor under consideration to play the role of Afghani stepson.

Hrithik played a terrorist in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Mission Kashmir . He also has a strong physical resemblance to Stallone.

However, there has been no official confirmation of Hrithik’s presence in ‘Holy Wars’ as yet.
