Actress Mayuri commits suicide

Mayuri made her entry into films with 'Kumbakonam Gopalu.' A very young thing with a pretty face. As she got more film opportunities, she also got more problems, including health problems. Overcoming all these, she starred in 'Whistle,' '18 Rainbow Colony,' and 'Manmadhan' as well as in the TV serial 'Salanam.' Yesterday when everyone in her home had gone out, she hung herself with a sari from the ceiling fan.

Terrible stomach pain is cited as the reason for her extreme decision. But the police are also investigating if there is a love failure that could have led to this.

Mayuri was just 22 years old when she took her life.
